Our Conveyancing Fees
For most people, buying or selling property is the most significant financial transaction of their life. It is important that you receive the best possible advice during these major life decisions. At Gattuso Legal, we aim to provide exceptional advice to protect your interests. Unlike a lot of other firms, our matters are personally handled by a lawyer.
Our standard fee for most residential conveyancing is $2,200 plus GST and disbursements. This fee includes:
- Contract review (purchasers) or contract preparation (vendors)
- Standard conveyancing tasks from exchange of contracts to settlement
Disbursements apply to all conveyancing matters regardless of which legal practice you engage. They are additional costs paid to third parties such as for land registry fees and property documents and certificates. As each transaction is different, it is not possible to give a one-size-fits-all estimate of disbursements. A full estimate of the total costs will be provided to you once we know more about your purchase or sale.
More complex transaction?
Where there is signifcantly more work or complexity involved over and above a standard conveyancing transaction, the fees may be slightly more than our standard fees. This includes the following circumstances:
- Where you are buying as a company or trusts
- Foreign purchaser requiring FIRB approval
- High-value properties (purchase price over $3m.)
